Microsoft has improved the way it handles updates for Windows 10, as a result, the software giant is releasing updates more frequently. Microsoft recently released Windows 10 KB4090913 with improvements and fixes. Windows 10 KB4090913 (opens Microsoft Update Catalog) is available for devices with Fall Creators Update, and it has a bug that crashes some system when attempting to install this update. Windows 10 KB4090913 fails to install with error 0x80070643, and shows an error reading “we could not complete the update, reverting changes”. When the update fails to install, Microsoft reverts the changes and restores the previous edition of the Windows 10 operating system without removing any of the files. There are only a handful number of reports particularly from Reddit of failed installs hitting Windows 10 KB4090913.
